Dear Harrow HK / ATA Tennis families,

Welcome back on court as we bounce into Autumn Term 1 2022!

As we hit our new term of tennis we want to highlight the different opportunities for our Harrow students to improve and develop their tennis.

ATA’s International tennis coaching team are looking forward to welcoming your child into our amazing tennis program and onto the court for the new Term 1 of Harrow / ATA tennis starting Tuesday 13th September 2022.

We are all incredibly excited to see our tennis players of all levels out on court for a productive and rewarding term of tennis with us.

Term 1 2022 tennis classes will cover 5 different options for your child’s tennis growth:

  • Squad group classes for all levels of red, orange, green, yellow ball players,
  • Every ball colour competition opportunities
  • Personalised tennis programme scheduling
  • Private classes 1:1
  • Tennis specific – fitness training

The ATA international tennis team offer tennis lessons 7 days a week Monday to Sunday for both lower and upper school students. Enrolment is on a term basis and fees are payable to Harrow HK.

Whether your child is a new too tennis or an experienced player, ATA tennis at Harrow has an appropriate class and International coach to work with and develop your child’s tennis game and potential.

Online registration for Term 1 2022 will open on Monday 15 August. Limited spots available – Please be aware that classes fill up fast due to limited availability – to avoid disappointment SIGN UP OPENS SOON!

Kristin Godridge is ATA Tennis Director

with a passion for tennis and a multitude of experience is a well known international tennis identity, with strong personal links within Tennis Australia and both the WTA and ATP tours. At the age of 17yrs Kristin was the Number 1 ranked junior female tennis player in the world and went onto the internationally tennis circuit

Highest Junior ITF World Ranking – 1
Highest WTA Singles ranking in the world – Top 60
Highest WTA doubles ranking in the world – Top 50

Her knowledge in coaching and running international junior tennis programs has made ATA one of the leading tennis providers in Asia. ATA is proud to be building Harrow Tennis Stars

Toby Clark – ATA Director- Harrow Tennis Director

Background: Toby is a former International circuit player in juniors and seniors. He represented Great Britain in juniors, for British Universities, and for the International Club of Great Britain.

Experience: During his time in the United Kingdom; he held a position as a Lead Coach for 7.5 years at the Wimbledon, All England   Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club venue of the Grand Slam. He also worked as a Tennis Manager for 4.5 years at one of London’s largest public tennis facilities. Toby has had a wide range of work experience in the sporting field, worked as an exercise physiologist, in event management and athlete representation. He has also coached in Europe and Australia.

Qualification: LTA CCA -Performance Coach Qualification, Degree in Sport and exercise science, post grad CAM diploma in Communications. US Boot CampTrainer Certification.

ATA Work Specialty: Coaching both adults and junior players, Marketing, Tennis Programme Management.

Vladimir Tomic – ATA Harrow Head Coach

Player Background: A former #1 junior player in Macedonia and top 100 ranked player in Europe under 14, Vlad was awarded a full US tennis scholarship studying Math at Webb School, Knoxville. He was MVP 3 years running and player of the year.
During his 4 years in the US, he won 22 tournaments, as well as 10 tournaments in Macedonia. Following this he was awarded a full scholarship to attend Samford University (Division 1 NCAA) & Carson-Newman College (Division 2 NCAA)
Coach qualification and experience : Vlad has a wealth of experience working as a head coach in clubs – he has a background working within development coaching, as well as with performance competitive players. He has worked closely with top national, European and international junior players. He is the former captain of the Macedonian national junior team, and current vice captain of the Macedonian Davis Cup team.
A student of the game and someone always keen to learn, Vlad holds the ITF Level 1, and GPTCA (Global Professional Tennis Coach Association) Level C & B coach qualifications. Has completed the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Sport Management Course. Has attended many continued professional development courses; 2016 European Tennis Coaches Conference,  2017 World Tennis Coaches Conference,  2020 ITF Regional Coaches Conference by BNP Paribas, 2021 World Tennis Conference by GPTCA.
Vlad enjoys coaching players of all levels and ages but specialises in developing junior tournament players, Vlad joined the ATA team in May 2022.


I am not sure about my child’s schedule for this term what should I do?

If you are not yet sure of your child’s schedule for Term 1 2022, we highly recommend that you sign up now for their current preferred lesson time and we can work with you to move them to a class day and time that suits you once your schedule is confirmed.

Please be aware that classes fill up fast due to limited availability.

Due to long waiting lists for some class times we strongly encourage you to complete the online enrolment for Harrow / ATA Tennis CCA Lessons Term 3 2022 NOW in order to avoid disappointment and to secure your child’s spot for the upcoming term.

To enrol you need to:
1) Select your child’s preferred, lesson day and time
2) Enter your child’s name, contact details, current year group & class/house
3) Press submit to enrol

When and how do I pay?

You will be invoiced for Harrow/ATA CCA Tennis lessons directly by Harrow International School Hong Kong and not by ATA Tennis.
Enrolment in Harrow/ATA CCA Tennis lessons is on a term basis for both group and private classes. Your enrolment and child’s attendance at their first group and/or private lesson is your acceptance of these term fees detailed above.

LUNCHTIME CLASSES  – Lower school pupils will be escorted to the dining room after lunchtime lessons with sufficient time to eat lunch. They will be supervised in the dining room by Harrow/ATA coaches.

WET WEATHER – In the event of rain classes will still be on and will be moved undercover to one of the indoor courts. If you are unsure children will be notified through their teaches and Harrow administration team.

MAKE UP LESSONS – If your child misses a lesson due to illness, school excursion or wet weather (if no indoor courts are available) a makeup class can be arranged for a suitable, alternate date. Please contact your coach directly to arrange any makeup lessons.

Makeup lessons must to be arranged within the current term and cannot be carried forward to future terms.

WHAT TO BRING? Please bring along your Harrow School sports attire, hat, racket and drink bottle. If you do not have a racket we do have rackets available that you can use at school so please don’t worry if your child forgets their racket.
