ATA Junior Tennis HK will be running 3 weeks of MID TERM TENNIS CAMPS catering for all of our Hong Kong Tennis Stars ages as well as abilities.

We will have Daily camp options running for selected abilities

ATA’s Mid-Term Camp will commence Monday 12 Oct to Friday 30 Oct 2020 and will run for 3 weeks over the mid-term break period.

Additional options this mid-term break include NEW ‘Teenagers on the Move’ Camps (ages 12yrs and above) and NEW ‘Performance’ Camps.

RED BALL

  • Ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 years
  • New & Developing Player
  • Levels 1, 2, 3.
  • Red Ball (75% slower than a normal ball)
  • 36″ Court
  • ATA Racquet Size 19″. 21″, 23″
  • The ATA Red Ball junior tennis development program teaches players the fundamental tennis hand eye visual acuity, co-ordination skills, confident movement and a strong tennis technique foundation. With the use of modified equipment / balls and mini nets depending on squad level. ATA coaches install a love of the game. Participation is super fun for all players.

ORANGE BALL

  • Ages 7-8, 9-10 years
  • Level 1 & Level 2
  • Orange Ball (50% slower than a normal ball)
  • 60″ Court
  • ATA Racquet Size 23″, 25″
  • ATA Junior Orange Ball junior development program is on a mini net on half court.This program environment is suitable for young experienced players and slightly older experienced players with technical competency, semi confident and confident rallying skills in preparation for the green ball pathway. Fostering a strong technique, understanding spins, tactical skills and sportsmanship taught to all players. All juniors will benefit from participating in this program as it fosters a strong sense of comradery,  confidence between players and love of the game. Participation is super fun for all players.

GREEN BALL

  • Ages 9-10, 11-13 years
  • Fast Track – New/Inexperienced Player
  • Green – Intermediate Level
  • Green Ball (25% slower than a normal ball)
  • Full Court
  • ATA Racquet Size 26″, 27″
  • ATA Junior Green ball Program caters to players ready to expand to mor advanced movement, swing, tactical patterns with the emphasis on skill based, matchplay learning.
  • A strong emphasis is placedon serving technique, full court matchplay and a constant competitive intensity.

YELLOW BALL

  • Ages 11-13, 14 -16+ years 
  • Intermediate & Advanced Levels.
  • Teenagers on the Move
  • Performance B
  • Performance A
  • Yellow Ball
  • Full court
  • ATA Racquet Size 26″, 27″, Full Adult rackets
  • We hit three clear levels in our yellow ball junior program.
  • Intermediate & Advanced Levels – older player that has fundamental tennis skills yet have yet master matchplay and compete.
  • Teenagers on the move – social players who are taking up tennis older and want a fun sporty enviroment that welcomes their progression path.
  • Performance A & B – High performance, competitive level.
  • All of the above programs use yellow balls and full court. The difference between the 3 programs is the players current ability, mindset and skill level.

Performance Camp A (13 Years and above)

All current HKTA Junior League players and regular HKTA tournament players 13 years and above. Goal orientated, pursing a high performance pathway in their tennis, Playing tennis more than 3 times plus+ a week.

Performance Camp B (10-13 Years Old)

Open to HKTA Junior League players and potential league players to accelerate their match play development and all aspects of development in the moulding of their game. This camp is for the younger player who are building and creating a strong fundamentals in moulding their competitive tennis.

MID TERM TERM CAMPS 2020 PROGRAMS

PERFORMANCE CAMP Training

  • Advanced technical drills – ensuring all fundamentals are satisfactory for matchplay
  • Individual video analysis – focusing on ground stroke mechanics & footwork patterns 
  • Live ball drills – focused on Match play tactics eg. shot selection & point construction
  • Style – students will further develop their individual playing style and preference
  • Sports psychology – focusing on match play and pressure situations
  • Fitness Training – Footwork, Strength work, tennis agility.

Group capacity: 4 students maximum (per group, per court)

Performance Camp times:

1-3, 2-4, 4-6 pm Venues – HKFC & JLRA only

*NEW* ‘TEENAGERS ON THE MOVE’ CAMP (2-4pm & 4-6pm):

(SOCIAL TEENAGERS GROUP – AgeS 12 – 18 yrs *Skill level – beginner, intermediate)

  • This social teenagers camp targets our teens wanting to improve their tennis but those that do not necessarily have a strong tennis background.
  • Targeting stroke production, agility and footwork plus social competition.
  • We are looking to get your teenagers moving, learning and sweating. Basically an overall week of bettering their game. So let’s get our teenagers off the computer and social media for a few hours and get them super active with their peers!

Tennis is a sport for life – we want your children to have the skills to play confidently.
