Get to know your coaches better with our Q&A section:

What was your most memorable tennis moment? Why? My most memorable moment in tennis would be winning my first state title. I was about 16 and won the U18 title against a player I had never beaten.
My most recent memorable momemt would be having a very consistant year here in hk and reaching the number 2 ranking in singles.

Where is your favourite place to play in Hong Kong? What’s so special about the place? I have two favourite places to play in hk, the first place is Victoria Park because of the court surface and the center court stadium is great to play with good atmosphere. the second place would be our IRC where we teach. This place is a very peaceful and quite place in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of hk.

If you could play on any court with any player, where and who would it be with? And why? I would love to play with nadal on center court of Roland garros. i admire nadal for what he has brought to the game of tennis. i would love to get a feel of the amount of spin he really puts on the ball on his beloved clay court.

Your current favourite player, and why? My current favourite player right now is roger federer because of his pure brilliance on court. He will always be one of the best of the sport and makes it look so effortless.

Your favourite player of all time and why? Favourite players of all time for me are Pat Rafter and Lleyton Hewitt. Being an Australian there was nothing better then sittting in front of the TV cheering these guys on. Hewitt fighting for every single point like his life depended on it and Rafter with his serve and volley and great court etiquette. Made me feel proud to be an Australian every time.

Why do you make a great tennis coach? I think i make a great tennis coach because i myself have been playing the game at tour level and have a lot of knowledge to pass on. i believe i have strong technical and tactical information to pass on. I believe i can translate the information to different players/students in different and personalised ways so that each student/player can reach the best level possible. Most of all i really love children and making them laugh and have fun while playing the sport, so i create a very fun and progressive learning etmosphere and experience.
