Player background: Asif grew up training and competing in Delhi, India and followed his passion of tennis into coaching.
Coach qualification and experience: Asif holds an ITF level 1 coaches certification, and is PTR adult development and junior USPTR certified. Asif has been coaching for the past 8 years across clubs and with individual players both in India and here in Hong Kong.
He has a passion for professional development and has attended ITF Worldwide coaches conferences by BNP Paribas, in Bangkok.Thailand (Oct 2019), ITF Southern and East Asian Regional Coaches Conference by BNP Paribas, Hong Kong (Oct 2018), Delhi Lawn tennis Association (DLTA) National Coaches Workshop, New Delhi (Oct 2018), 8th Aita National Coaches Workshop, Kolkata- 2015.
He has also been a line umpire during the Fed-Cup Asia-Oceania Group-I Tournament at R K Khanna Tennis Stadium, New Delhi- 07th -10th January 2018.
Asif has worked with ATA since 2021 and specialises in working with development junior and adult players.
