ATA Harrow Head Coach

Player Background: A former #1 junior player in Macedonia and top 100 ranked player in Europe under 14, Vlad was awarded a full US tennis scholarship studying Math at Webb School, Knoxville. He was MVP 3 years running and player of the year.
During his 4 years in the US, he won 22 tournaments, as well as10 tournaments in Macedonia. Following this he was awarded a full scholarship to attend Samford University (Division 1 NCAA) & Carson-Newman College (Division 2 NCAA)
Coach qualification and experience : Vlad has a wealth of experience working as a head coach in clubs – he has a background working within development coaching, as well as with performance competitive players. He has worked closely with top national, European and international junior players. He is the former captain of the Macedonian national junior team, and current vice captain of the Macedonian Davis Cup team.
A student of the game and someone always keen to learn, Vlad holds the ITF Level 1, and GPTCA (Global Professional Tennis Coach Association) Level C & B coach qualifications. Has completed the IOC (International Olympic Committee) Sport Management Course. Has attended many continued professional development courses; 2016 European Tennis Coaches Conference,  2017 World Tennis Coaches Conference,  2020 ITF Regional Coaches Conference by BNP Paribas, 2021 World Tennis Conference by GPTCA.
Vlad enjoys coaching players of all levels and ages but specialises in developing junior tournament players, Vlad joined the ATA team in May 2022.
